West Ham United insider @ExWHUemployee has claimed that David Moyes does not rate the Hammers’ Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller.
The 26-year-old attacker has been situated at the London Stadium since the Irons forked out £45m to seal his arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019 (per Transfermarkt).
Since then, he has made 46 appearances for West Ham in total, in which he has managed to bag 13 goals and provide three assists for teammates.
During the current season, the £27m-rated man has made 12 of those 46 appearances and managed to find the back of the net on six occasions.
In the latest episode of The West Ham Way Podcast, though, @ExWHUemployee revealed that Moyes is not keen on the striker. (4:38)
He said: “I just don’t think Moyes rates Haller and it doesn’t really matter what Haller does as such, he just wants him out [of] the team and wants [Michail] Antonio in it.
“I think Haller should have started [against Aston Villa] because he scored against Sheffield United. He didn’t play amazing but he played well-ish for him to build on that performance.”
Later in the podcast, @ExWHUemployee even suggested he may be sold in January: (39:39) “Moyes isn’t convinced on Haller, he may be forced to play him this Saturday but he’s not convinced on him.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if he entertained offers in January. Whether there’ll be any offers, I don’t know. It wouldn’t surprise me if the club entertained them if there were [bids].”

In comparison to Michail Antonio, it may be clear to see why the Scottish manager would prefer the 30-year-old Englishman over the former Eintracht Frankfurt man.
This season, Antonio has taken 2.6 shots, made 0.9 key passes and performed 2.0 dribbles per league game (per WhoScored).
In comparison, Haller has taken just 1.1 shots, made 0.6 key passes and performed 0.6 dribbles on average in a Premier League outing.
So, it is abundantly clear that Antonio has been far more effective than his Ivorian counterpart so far this term and that may explain why Moyes supposedly does not rate Haller.
