Who did West Ham United face in their opening fixture of the 2020/21 Premier League season?

He said: “Fabianski is one of those players, I’ve said it a number of times now, whose contract’s up in the summer.

“The club are in the process of trying to get him to sign a new two-year deal, which will probably be his last contract because I think that will take him up to like 37/38.

“So, the club are trying to negotiate that with him. Now, he seems keen to stay. He has been quoted in the press as saying his son is settled into school here.

“So, I think he obviously wants to stay for those reasons and for the fact that he’s happy playing for West Ham.”

TIF Thoughts on what @ExWHUemployee said about Lukasz Fabianski’s contract…

As can be seen in what the in-the-know podcaster had to say, it seems that the Hammers want Fabianski to sign a new two-year deal with them and that will “probably be his last contract”.

Does Lukasz Fabianski deserve a new contract?

Of all of the ‘keepers to make more than one appearance in the Premier League this season, Fabianski has been amongst the best.

Over his 11 top-flight appearances, the Polish stopper has earned a respectable 6.67/10 average rating, making him the joint-seventh best performing goalkeeper of those to play more than one game (per WhoScored).

So, it is clear to see why David Moyes’ outfit would want to keep Fabianski at the club for a further two seasons.
