Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs-focused Twitter account @LastWordOnSpurs which relayed some news that was recently reported by Calciomercato, claiming that the north London club is interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
As per Calciomercato, Spurs, as well as their north London rivals Arsenal, are said to be thinking about making a move for the 23-year-old Ivory Coast international, however, Kessie’s current club allegedly wouldn’t be too open to selling the midfielder even if they received an offer of between €40-50m (£36.36-45.46m), and with the player currently valued at £31.5m according to Transfermarkt, perhaps that means that Spurs would have to pay somewhat over the odds to secure his signature.
After this news was shared on Twitter by @LastWordOnSpurs, it caught plenty of Spurs fans’ attention and they have been responding to their tweet to share their thoughts on this potential Lilywhites transfer target.
So, what did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say about the possibility of their club moving for Kessie?

??Spurs are ‘thinking about’ the all-rounder, but ‘the feeling is Milan will not deprive themselves of their player for less than an offer of €40-50M’.#THFC #COYSpic.twitter.com/S58AudWlMa

Many Tottenham fans were excited to see their club linked with a move for the Milan midfielder and were buzzing over the possibility of him joining the Lilywhites.
Kessie and Skippy would make the perfect long-term rotation and eventual sucession to our current midfield goats.

Big upgrade on Moussa, try throwing him into the deal plus 20m…those doors at Milan would jump at the deal

Thought we were going to sign him a couple windows back. He has become an even better player since then, and Milan has become a better team.
Would love to pry him away but it seems more likely that we will face Milan in the Europa League before signing him is even possible.

Some Spurs fans compared Kessie to current Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko, which may be understandable when you consider that both men are said to like playing short passes, as per WhoScored.
