A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs-focused Twitter account @TheSpursExpress in which they relayed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano’s claim that alleged Lilywhites transfer target Dominik Szoboszlai is set to move from Red Bull Salzburg to RB Leipzig.

In his tweet sharing this news, Romano corroborated Sky Sports reporter Max Bielefeld’s claim that this transfer will be announced before Christmas.

Meanwhile, after quote-tweeting Romano’s post, @TheSpursExpress asked Lilywhites fans if they are ‘disappointed’ by this news on the £22.5m-rated Hungarian, who is also said to have been a target of Tottenham’s north London rivals Arsenal

So, how did these Tottenham Hotspur fans react to this transfer news?

Many of the Spurs supporters who replied to @TheSpursExpress’ post indicated that they aren’t upset about this development, with plenty of them explaining that they think this move could allow 26-year-old RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Marcel Sabitzer, to move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and some Lilywhites fans urged their club to pursue his signature.

So, while it seems like Tottenham are set to miss out on Szoboszlai to RB Leipzig, it’s clear that many Lilywhites fans would be okay with that if their club can sign the Bundesliga club’s £31.5m-rated captain instead.
