A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been responding to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs reporter Alasdair Gold in which he shared an article that he recently wrote for Football.london containing comments from Eric Dier regarding the influence of current first-team coach Ledley King on the north London club’s defence.

King, who spent the entirety of his playing career at Tottenham Hotspur, had been a club representative since 2014 before he became one of Jose Mourinho’s assistants in the summer and as stated by Football.london, the 40-year-old ex-centre-back has been seen drilling the north London club’s defence before games this season.

It would seem as though King has had a positive influence on the Lilywhites’ defence, as Spurs have currently got the best defensive record of any Premier League side in terms of goals conceded for the 2020/21 campaign and as per Football.london, Dier has been full of praise for the coach, stating that “it’s been fantastic to have him around the team.”
