Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a Twitter post from @HotspurRelated which relayed a report from Football.london that states Real Madrid will not be able to recall Gareth Bale from his loan spell in the event Zinedine Zidane is sacked.

The 31-year-old re-joined the Lilywhites in the summer on loan until the end of the season (as per Transfermarkt), seven years after he departed north London to join Los Blancos.

Real Madrid currently sit fourth in La Liga and recently suffered a defeat in the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Shakhtar Donetsk which saw them slip down to third position in Group B (as per BBC Sport). In the event things get worse at the Bernabeu, it seems, according to the aforementioned report, that the Spurs fans won’t have to worry about Bale’s second spell in north London being cut short.
