Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have recently reacted to a transfer claim which has emerged regarding Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak.

According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, Jose Mourinho’s side is keen on recruiting the centre-back alongside two other Premier League clubs.

The outfits which are supposedly alongside Spurs are Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United.

It is claimed that Kabak’s Bundesliga club is looking for a fee which amounts to at least €20m (£18.1m) and there will be ‘warmer developments in the coming days‘.

This comes after the same journalist shared back in November that Spurs will make a move for Kabak in January.

This tweet was picked up by Last Word On Spurs and relayed to Tottenham fans, which had many of them talking.

“Saw many games: Young player with great talent, but very raw…nothing that will help us right away, but might be cheap now with massive potential in the future”

So far this season, the 20-year-old defender has made eight appearances for his German club in the Bundesliga, in which he has neither scored a goal nor has he assisted one (per WhoScored).

His average rating over the outings has been a weak 6.08/10, making him the 12th-worst performer to feature for Schalke in the league this season.

The same average rating in Tottenham’s squad in the Premier League so far this term would make him Spurs’ worst-performing player.

As can be seen in these responses from Spurs fans, there was a mixed reaction from them regarding the transfer link with the Turkish defender.
