Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a Twitter post from @TheSpursExpress in which they relayed a report regarding Sergio Reguilon.
The Spaniard signed for the Lilywhites during the summer transfer window in a deal reportedly worth £27m (as per Transfermarkt) but according to El Chiringuito TV, his former employers Real Madrid are considering triggering their buy-back clause, which they claim is €45m (£40.6m).
Although Reguilon’s registration was held by Real Madrid, he spent the entire 2019/20 campaign on loan at Sevilla with whom he won the UEFA Europa League.
How have these Spurs fans responded to the rumours Real Madrid could move for Reguilon?

I’ll be shocked if he left before the end of the season.

It’s clear from the above responses that these Spurs fans do not want to see the club lose the 23-year-old defender and given his average performance rating in the Premier League has been a solid 6.96/10 (as per WhoScored), you can understand why.
To date this season, the Lilywhites have conceded just nine goals in the English top flight. Taking that, plus the fact he has already provided two assists this season into account, it could be argued that he’s settled into life at Spurs very well.
