Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news concerning Lilywhites midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
This comes after Spurs-focused Twitter account @HotspurRelated shared a post relaying news originally published in an article from The Guardian on the Danish midfielder.
The article claims that the 25-year-old had “other options” before deciding to make the move to Spurs from Southampton in the previous summer transfer window in a deal worth a reported fee of £14.94 million.
AS Monaco, Bayern Munich, Ajax and fellow Premier League side Everton were all apparently interested in signing Hojbjerg in the summer, but after a talk with Spurs manager Jose Mourinho, Hojbjerg chose to move to north London.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on this news.
So, what did these Spurs fans make of this post on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg?

He wanted to play under Mourinho, I think his mind was already made up prior to speaking with Mou.

Im afraid if Mourinho got sacked he might persuade Hojbjerg to join him. It’s highly possible isnt it. UNLESS we keep Mourinho for quite some time so Pierre can develop his own love for Spurs

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear that these Spurs fans are pleased that Mourinho managed to convince Hojbjerg, who is currently valued at £22.5 million, to join the club in the summer.
Given how Hojbjerg has managed to earn himself a decent season rating of 6.96/10 for his performances in the Premier League (via WhoScored), prior to their clash against Arsenal on Sunday, it’s no surprise these Spurs fans are happy to have him at the club.
