Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest injury news concerning Gareth Bale.

This comes after Spurs journalist Jonathan Veal shared a post on his official Twitter page relaying news originally revealed by Spurs manager Jose Mourinho after the north London club’s 3-1 win over Stoke City in the Carabao Cup.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

Mourinho said that Bale had to be substituted at half time because he felt an injury and wouldn’t be able to play in the second half against the Championship side.

This post from Veal then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Bale’s situation.

So, what did these Spurs fans make of this post?

“Might need to terminate his contract and save 6 mil”

“Send him back”
“Him and Lamela together make one fully fit player…”
Spurs signed Bale on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid back in September. Since then, the Welshman has made 11 appearances for Spurs across the Premier League, Europa League and Carabao Cup, scoring a goal in each competition so far (per Transfermarkt).
Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that these Spurs fans are getting pretty frustrated by this latest injury setback for Bale.

Do you think signing Bale was a mistake from Spurs?

Given how there has been previous concerns over Bale’s fitness at the north London club, this latest injury won’t do much to ease those concerns in our view.
However, with the winger having managed to score a few goals when he has been available for Spurs, the club will undoubtedly want Bale to get back to fitness and available to play as soon as possible.
