Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on signing a central defender and defensive midfielder ahead of the January transfer window according to Sky Sports.

Spurs are currently sat seventh in the Premier League table, and will be hoping they can put together a positive run of results heading into the New Year.

Mourinho’s side have a slight break from action over the hectic festive period, after their match with Fulham was postponed due to off-the-field events.

Spurs are winless in their last four league matches, which will make for concerning reading for the club’s supporters, as they target a top-four finish in the Premier League this term.

They were forced to settle for a point in their most recent match against Wolves, as Romain Saiss equalised late on, after Tanguy Ndombele had given Mourinho’s side the lead on the night.

Plenty of Spurs supporters took to social media to react to this recent transfer update on Mourinho’s plans ahead of the New Year, with a number of them claiming that money should be invested into more attacking areas of the current squad.

One fan even wished goodbye to Davinson Sanchez and Harry Winks, who have both been linked with moves away in January. However, it’s been reported that Harry Winks won’t be allowed to leave.

“Bye sanchez and winks.”
