Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news concerning Lilywhites midfielder Harry Winks.
This comes after Spurs journalist Jonathan Veal shared a post on his official Twitter page saying that Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho revealed in his latest press conference that Winks has approached him asking about his playing time at the north London club at the moment.
This post from Veal then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest update.
So, what did these Spurs fans make of this post?
Winks is a squad player at best and nothing more, if he doesn’t want to be a squad player for the team he supports then we need to move him on.

Winks made his senior debut for Spurs back in 2014 under former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino. Since then, the 24-year-old has made a total of 154 appearances for the club in which he has managed to score three goals and provide two assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).
Very fortunate to get as many minutes in a team where there is better players than him.

Him trying to run it out and not boot it away against West Ham is what has put the final nail in the coffin for him. He’s gone in January probably https://t.co/J2ODbNFQEP

The brutal reality is that @harrywinks is not good enough to be at the heart of Spurs midfield. Despite coming through our Academy, he’s an average player & does not contribute anywhere near enough to the team. He always plays safe & would be sold if not for his homegrown status.

So far this season, Winks, who is currently valued at £25.2 million, has made just four appearances for the club in the Premier League, with his last league appearance coming in their 3-3 draw against West Ham United back in October.
And, the midfielder has been linked with a move to Everton in recent times.
Slows the game down sideways backwards not good for a counter attacking team

Do you think Winks deserves to be playing more often?
Yes
No
There’s nothing wrong with having a conversation about minutes or lack thereof. I’m sure Harry noted his concerns and Jose most likely told him what needs to happen to see the pitch more often.

Now that Veal has shared this post onto his official Twitter page, this opened the door for lots of Spurs fans to have their say on Winks.
He is talented player but have tough competition . I can understand him

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that some Spurs fans think feel quite negatively about Winks whereas others understand why the midfielder has had a word with Mourinho about his playing time.
If Winks isn’t happy with his playing time at Spurs this season, maybe he would be better off making a move away to another club where he would be playing regularly.
