Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a report that claimed Spurs are looking to cancel Troy Parrott’s season-long loan deal at Championship side, Millwall.

According to Football Insider, a source close to the club has claimed that Spurs are planning to ‘take advantage of a recall option’ in the 18-year-old’s loan contract at Millwall, with the view to then possibly sending him out on loan once again in the January transfer window.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

In his time in south London, the £3.24 million-rated striker has featured just eight times in the Championship – a figure which has likely been reduced by an ankle injury suffered back in September – and has so far scored no goals or provided any assists.

And, after The Spurs Web relayed the report by Football Insider on Twitter, many Tottenham fans flocked to have their say on the matter.

Do you think Parrott has what it takes to make it at Spurs?

So, what exactly did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say in reaction to the report?

“I said this kid will never make it. Dane Scarlett is the real future star”

@OsmondAdan

“They are over hyping the kid coz we know where he comes from, shamelessly they compare him to Kane. Dan scallete will overtake him.”

@babloo_jijo

“I would like to see him go to the bundesliga he is getting to comfortable in the London lifestyle”

@sam02253663

“That worked out well then”

@nad_THFC

“Why?”

@NdanguyTombele

“This kid never recovered from 1) the hype 2) missing that pen Offload him to the eridevisie”

@PCE_Deadmeat

All in all, it would appear that many of these Tottenham Hotspur fans appear to think that Parrott is yet to live up to the hype that surrounded him, with some suggesting that fellow young striker, Dane Scarlett, is now a better prospect than Parrott, while others even went as far to call for the club to offload the Republic of Ireland international.
