Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer news concerning their club.
This comes after Spurs-focused Twitter account @TalkingTHFC shared a post relaying news originally published in an article from Colombian outlet Primer Tiempo.
The article claims that Spurs have approached Zenit Saint Petersburg over a potential transfer move for 27-year-old defensive midfielder Wilmar Barrios.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest transfer link.
So, what did these Spurs fans make of this transfer report on Wilmar Barrios?

Since then, Barrios has made 71 appearances for Zenit in which he has managed to score two goals and provide one assist – whilst picking up 25 yellow cards and one red card along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Remember watching this guy during England vs columbia in the world Cup. He’s all Pasion, and aggression with little talent to back it up. No thanks.

Do you think Spurs should sign Barrios?
Yes
No
There were some Spurs fans replying to this post who were quite positive about this rumour and claimed that they would like to see the club sign Barrios.
He’s still quite good in terms of defence. Would replace Sissoko next year

This guy would be a great DM to back up Hojbjerg. Tough as nails, would run through a brick wall for Jose

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that the idea of the north London club signing Barrios has split this group of fans down the middle, with some not wanting him to sign, whereas others think he would be a good addition to the squad.
Given how Spurs have been linked with a move for Barrios in the past, there’s every opportunity they could well reignite their interest and sign him this time.
However, with Spurs currently having the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks in their squad that can play in a centre-midfield role, they may not necessarily need to sign Barrios at this moment in time, in our view.
