Tottenham Hotspur were forced to settle for a point on Sunday evening, as they drew 1-1 with Wolves at Molineux.

Spurs took the lead through Tanguy Ndombele, who fired home from outside the penalty area after just 57 seconds.

Jose Mourinho’s side then soaked up a considerable amount of pressure in the second half, but they were unable to hold on for the three points.

With just four minutes remaining of normal time, Wolves defender Romain Saiss headed from close-range to rescue a point for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side.

PA Sport journalist Jonathan Veal revealed that Saiss’ goal was the tenth goal that Spurs have conceded from a set-piece, which will make for concerning reading heading into the new year.

Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur supporters were quick to take to social media to react to this statistic.

Take a look at the best of the reaction from Twitter below:

“And it never gets fixed. You cannot play the park the bus strategy when you can’t defend set pieces. It makes no sense.”

“It’s disgusting. You can criticise Jose’s tactics but this spineless quality always seems to be present. Even in Poch last year, the amount of corners that would go fully across our box with no touch on it consistently angered me. That’s the sign of a team that doesn’t care.”

“Wouldn’t be such a weakness if we killed games off early.”

“They don’t seem to want to improve at defending set pieces.”

“A massive problem. We can’t defend them.”

“What do they do in training? Disgrace.”

Given Wolves’ late equaliser was the sixth goal that they’ve conceded from a corner, there will certainly be work to do for Mourinho’s men in that area going forward.
