Tottenham Hotspur’s poor run of form continued, as they were beaten 2-0 by Leicester City on Sunday afternoon.
Jose Mourinho’s side came into the game winless in their previous two league matches, having been held by Crystal Palace to a 1-1 draw, before being beaten by Liverpool in midweek.
But they were far from their best against Leicester at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and fell behind when Jamie Vardy opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time, after Serge Aurier brought down Wesley Fofana in the penalty area.
That lead was then doubled when Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld turned the ball into his own net after 59 minutes.
Spurs were unable to reduce the deficit on the day, with a number of players struggling to make a positive impact against the Foxes.
One player that came in for mixed reviews was Eric Dier, with the defender playing the full 90 minutes. He lost possession of the ball 24 times, although he did win all of the aerial duels he was faced with.
Plenty of Spurs supporters took to social media to issue their verdicts on the 26-year-old’s performance on the day against Leicester City.

Aurier and dier nowhere near good enough. Winks not good enough. Terrible performance yet again.

While it seems Dier was by no means the only poor performer for Spurs, these fans certainly felt he was below par on Sunday.
