Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been complaining about their team’s inability to take or defend set-pieces.
Coming off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield in midweek, Spurs’ next league fixture put them up against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
During the first half of the north London club’s Premier League clash against Leicester, many Spurs fans flocked to Twitter to share their frustrations at how Jose Mourinho’s side have been defending against and taking set-pieces.
So, what did these Spurs fans have to say on the matter?
Set pieces will end me

If you’re not good at defending set pieces why do you give your opponents so many set piece opportunities.

Do you think Spurs need to work more on their set-pieces?
Yes
No

We are criminally bad at set pieces. It is shocking that not one member of our squad is capable of taking a free kick or corner

Why do other teams look dangerous from set pieces around the box and we don’t look at all dangerous. #Spurs #COYS #THFC #TOTLEI

Looking at these tweets from this group of Spurs fans, it’s clear to see that they aren’t happy with the way their team take their own or defend their opponents’ set-pieces.
Given how Liverpool managed to score their late winning goal against Spurs in midweek with a goal from a corner that Roberto Firmino headed in to secure the three points for Jurgen Klopp’s side, it’s not surprising that these Spurs fans are being wary of conceding from another set-piece.
And having conceded to a penalty kick on the stroke of half time, it seems unlikely these fans’ anger will subside any time soon.
