Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have recently flocked to a club post which shared footage of Belgian central defender Jan Vertonghen.
During the summer, the 33-year-old defender’s contract with Spurs came to an end and he moved to Portuguese outfit SL Benfica (per Transfermarkt).
On Thursday, it emerged that Tottenham forward Heung-min Son had won the FIFA Puskas award for 2020 with his solo goal against Burnley in 2019 (per BBC).
The man who got the assist for that goal was Vertonghen and the club shared footage of it alongside the comment: ‘The pass that made it all possible’ (per Tottenham Hotspur).
This tweet from the north London outfit had lots of Spurs fans talking about their former centre-back.
