Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have flocked to a claim from Alasdair Gold on the future of English midfielder Harry Winks.
According to a report by Gold for Football.london, there is currently no chance of the 24-year-old midfielder leaving the club during the January transfer window.
Supposedly, Winks is only an injury to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg or Moussa Sissoko away from returning to the club’s starting lineup.
It is also claimed that Winks is seen as a ‘valuable commodity’ as he is a homegrown player and that is something which Jose Mourinho’s side are currently ‘struggling’ with.
This claim on Winks was relayed to Spurs fans by Daily Hotspur and it had lots of them talking.
So, what did these Spurs fans have to say about the claim on Harry Winks?
There is currently no chance of Harry Winks leaving #thfc in January. Spurs don't want to weaken their options or let a homegrown player leave. | @AlasdairGold

Winks is not good enough for Spurs. He has to go this window

Great news. People so quick to slate Winks but the options in midfield could very quickly unravel over the busy next few weeks

The 24-year-old Englishman currently has until the summer of 2024 left on his contract with Tottenham and a market value of £25.2m according to Transfermarkt.
Should Spurs sell Harry Winks in January?
No, he should stay
Yes, he should go
Keep him until next summer cash in to strengthen the squad in other places, we have Skipp to come back who is more than able to replace him.

So far this season, Winks has made four Premier League appearances for Spurs in which he has neither scored nor assisted a goal (per WhoScored).
His performances have earned him an unimpressive 6.22/10 average rating, making him Spurs’ joint-worst performer in the league.
Yes please keep him

As can be seen in these responses from Spurs fans, there was a mixed reaction from them following the claim that Winks will not leave the club in January.
