Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been discussing an update about Dele Alli that recently emerged on social media.

On the latest episode of the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano revealed some information about Alli’s situation at Spurs. He said that there are good chances of the midfielder leaving Spurs in January because he wants regular first-team football. He said that PSG wanted him earlier and Real Madrid were talking to Spurs about the midfielder in the deal involving Gareth Bale.

Would it be a shame if Alli leaves?

He also made it clear that while Alli loves Tottenham, he wants to leave in search of regular first-team football. This update from the journalist was relayed on Twitter by Last Word on Spurs and many Tottenham fans gave their opinion about Alli.

What did Spurs fans make of this update about Dele Alli?

Will be a shame but also let’s be honest since he burst on the scene he hasn’t gotten close to the level expected of him. He hasn’t been anything special for nearly 3 seasons. Maybe best for him to get a new start

It has been reported that with Mauricio Pochettino looking set to take over at Paris Saint-Germain following Thomas Tuchel’s sacking, the Argentine would look to sign Alli in the January transfer window. It remains to be seen whether the PSG board would give a green light to make a move for the Englishman or not (as per the Daily Mail).

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

Alli is currently valued at £34.2m and some other Spurs fans also discussed the update from Romano about the former MK Dons midfielder.

Will be gutted if he goes but not been the same last couple years, still clinging to hope will find his best form again

Clearly, a lot of Spurs fans wouldn’t like it at all if Spurs end up letting Alli go in January. One fan feels that the midfielder needs to be moved on.

The 24-year-old has made just four Premier League appearances this season, playing four times in the Europa League group stages as well. This clearly shows that game time is drying up for Alli and since he is still 24, he would need to play regularly to develop. So perhaps, leaving Spurs would be the right move for him.
