How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

Spurs were in talks to sign the striker in the summer transfer window. Milik was initially set to join Paulo Fonseca’s Roma on an initial loan deal in the summer and the Giallorossi would’ve had an obligation to buy him permanently too. The move didn’t go through (as per The Independent).

Despite holding interest in the former Ajax man in the summer, Spurs opted to sign Carlos Vinicius from Benfica on a season-long loan deal and they have the option to sign him permanently for a fee of £40.83 million (as per BBC Sport).

The news involving Milik caught the attention of some other Spurs fans too.

The 26-year-old has not made a single first-team appearance for the Partenopei this season, as he wasn’t registered for the club’s Serie A and Europa League squad lists.

Milik had scored 28 goals for Napoli over the last two Serie A seasons and he has overperformed on his Expected Goals metric over the last three Serie A seasons (as per FBRef).

This shows that he is a decent finisher and he can score a handful of goals too. So if the loan move for Vinicius doesn’t work out, signing Milik might be a good option for the Lilywhites.
