Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been calling for Gareth Bale to start in their upcoming Premier League clash against Leicester City.
After signing to Jose Mourinho’s side on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid back in September, the winger has only made three appearances in the Premier League, starting just one of them (per WhoScored).
Now, with Spurs set to take on Leicester at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, many fans have been sharing their hopes at seeing the Welshman make another start in the top flight for the north London club.
So, what did these Spurs fans have to say about Gareth Bale?
I’d start Bale

I really want Bergwijn to start to shut the clowns up who abused him a few days ago but I’d also if fit want to see Bale there. He needs a start with Sonny and H and a run. The bedding in is done.

Looking at these tweets from this group of Spurs fans, it’s clear to see that they would like to see Bale play from the start against Brendan Rodgers’ side.
In our view, with Bale, who is currently valued at £18 million, having only managed to earn himself a fairly uninspiring season rating of 6.62/10 for his league performances so far this season, perhaps starting him against Leicester is not the best plan for Mourinho – although his game time has been limited in the league thus far.
However, with fellow Spurs wingers Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura both having lower season ratings than Bale at this point in the season, it could be argued he would be a better option, which now gives Mourinho an important decision to make in terms of his team selection.
