Tottenham Hotspur got off to the perfect start in their match against Wolves at Molineux on Sunday evening.

Spurs midfielder Tanguy Ndombele opened the scoring with a fierce strike from outside the penalty area, which beat Rui Patricio between the posts after just 57 seconds.

Ndombele has struggled for consistent starts in recent months, with the Frenchman making 19 appearances in all competitions this term.

The 23-year-old was substituted at half-time in their most recent fixture against Leicester City, as Mourinho’s side went on to lose the match 2-0 against the Foxes.

Spurs controlled the early stages of the game, and will be eager to pick up three points from this one, with Liverpool dropping points earlier on Sunday, after being held to a draw against relegation-threatened West Brom at Anfield.
