How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

Gold was invited on to talk about Spurs before the game at Anfield, and one player which he talked about in detail was Sergio Reguilon.

The 24-year-old joined Spurs in the last transfer window, and Gold was full of praise for the Spaniard.

He said: “[He’s been] absolutely superb. From what I understood with Tottenham at the summer, they weren’t looking to buy a left-back, but they had always kept an eye on Reguilon, and when it became clear that he was going to be available for a decent price, albeit with this pesky buy-back clause in future summers, they just didn’t hesitate.

“They went in for him, and they have been proved exactly right; he’s just taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.”

Do you think Reguilon has been a good signing?

Yes, love him so far

TIF Thoughts on Reguilon…

Tottenham bought Reguilon for £27m from Real Madrid, and has made 13 appearances in all competitions, providing three assists.

According to WhoScored, his average rating in the Premier League is a solid 6.91/10 and in the Europa League, it is a decent 6.73.

It is interesting that apparently, Spurs weren’t really looking for a left-back but just found the opportunity to take Reguilon too good to refuse, and no wonder when you look at the season he had on loan at Sevilla.

While he was with the Spanish outfit, he won the Europa League and averaged an impressive 7.23 rating in that competition, as well as a 7.10 rating in La Liga, so you can see why Spurs decided to snap him up.

So far, we think that the signing of Reguilon looks like a great piece of business for Tottenham, and we will be interested to see if he can keep up this good start as the season goes on.
