Alasdair Gold has been speaking on the latest edition of his YouTube show about all things Tottenham Hotspur.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

One of the topics that he spent a little bit of time on was Gareth Bale and when he expects to see the best of the Welshman.

Bale re-joined Tottenham in the last transfer window on loan from Real Madrid, but since then, he has only made three Premier League appearances and has not actually played in the league in the last four games.

However, Gold still sounds confident that Bale will be raring to go soon.

He said: (33:14) “People are probably a little bit down on him because I think they expected to see the Gareth Bale that left in 2013, but I think you have got to appreciate [that] he’s pretty much spent the last year before he came to Tottenham barely playing any football.

“Then [he] missed pre-season [and] picked up an injury, and he’s been playing catch-up ever since.”

Do you think Gold will be right about Bale?

Yes, I am sure he will be

TIF Thoughts on Bale…

He makes a valid point about the lack of game time Bale has had over the past year or so as last season for Real, he only made 20 appearances across the whole season in all competitions, and this year he has already made nine.

So, he has missed a lot of games, and though some of his performances since he returned to Tottenham have not been that good, he is still a world-class player, and we are looking forward to seeing him fully fit.

We feel that combining a fit Bale with Heung-min Son and Harry Kane, who are both in sublime form, could be very exciting for Spurs.
