Alasdair Gold has been speaking on the latest edition of his YouTube show about all things Tottenham Hotspur after Spurs drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

One topic that Gold spent a bit of time on was the future of Harry Winks, who stormed off down the tunnel when he was substituted in the Europa League on Thursday and was not in the matchday squad for the Palace match.

There have been rumours linking Winks with a move away from Spurs, but Gold seems to believe that the 24-year-old isn’t going anywhere.

He said: (24:18) “With Winks I have been told there is no chance of him going next month at all.

“I know that will disappoint people who aren’t big [fans of Winks].

“If you look at it logically, essentially you are one injury away to Sissoko and Hojbjerg from Winks coming into that team and playing quite regular football.

“Whether you like him or not, he is an England international who isn’t playing at the top of his game, isn’t using his full potential but certainly has got a lot of quality.”

TIF Thoughts on Winks and Gold’s information on him…

So, if Gold is correct, then Winks will not be leaving Jose Mourinho’s team in the next transfer window, and it looks like they won’t even entertain the idea.

This makes sense when you consider that Winks is homegrown, so he helps Tottenham in that regard, and he has come up through the academy.

However, his performances this season in the Premier League have been poor as he has only averaged a 6.22 rating and has not actually featured in the league since that 3-3 draw against West Ham United in October.

So, you can see both why Spurs should let Winks go and keep him, and in our opinion, we are unsure what is best, but if Gold is right, then, he will be staying at Tottenham until the end of the season at least.
