A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to rave over Brazilian attacker Joelinton’s performance in the Toon’s latest Premier League clash versus West Bromwich Albion.
Joelinton joined the North East club from Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim for £39.6m in the summer of 2019 but didn’t enjoy a very positive start to life at St. James’ Park, as he managed to provide just eight goal contributions in his 44 competitive appearances for the Toon last season, just four of which came in his 38 Premier League appearances last term.
He also didn’t get off to a prolific start this season but after scoring and assisting in his last top-flight appearance prior to today’s clash with West Brom – the Toon’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on 27th November – he managed to provide the assist for Miguel Almiron’s early goal in today’s top-flight fixture, leading to some Toon supporters praising him on Twitter.
So, what have these Newcastle United fans been saying about Joelinton’s performance versus West Brom?
