A lot of Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account which shared footage of Toon winger Ryan Fraser’s post-match comments following his side’s 5-2 Premier League loss to Leeds United on Wednesday evening.
Fraser started this game, making it his first Toon appearance since 1st November, after which he was sidelined by injury.
The Scotland international managed to provide the assist for Ciaran Clark’s goal in the 65th minute and earned the highest WhoScored rating (7.71) of any Toon player for this fixture.
In his post-match interview with NUFC TV, Fraser explained that he was disappointed with the result and (0:22) claimed that his side “showed a little bit of naivety” in their performance which resulted in Leeds’ resounding victory.
So, how have these Newcastle United fans been reacting to this post-match interview?

This interview drew a largely positive response from fans of the north-east club, with some Newcastle fans sharing that they agree with Fraser’s comments.
Love this from Fraser, absolutely spot on and need to be said more often from players. Naive from a lot of the players and cannot be tolerated. Hopefully we have this guy playing regularly now ?? #nufc #Fraser https://t.co/6KeIJBicod

He’s absolutely spot on I’d say him and Clark were out best players tonight

Meanwhile, some Toon supporters praised the Scotsman for his performance versus Leeds.
Do you think Newcastle were too naive versus Leeds?
YES
NO
He looked dangerous at times today. Hope he can stay fit. Him and ASM out wide would be nice

Can we just clone him, darlow, clark and wilson and we’d be good

All in all, it certainly seems that despite his team losing this clash with Leeds, Fraser doesn’t seem to have lost too much popularity with Toon supporters.
