A lot of Newcastle United fans have been criticising Sean Longstaff’s performance in the Toon’s latest Premier League clash with Fulham.
The 23-year-old started this game alongside Jonjo Shelvey in the centre of Newcastle’s midfield, which may not have come as a massive surprise to supporters of the north-east club, given that he’d started each of the Toon’s previous six top-flight games.
Per The Guardian, the £15.75m-rated man lost an aerial duel with ex-Toon forward Aleksandar Mitrovic in the first minute of the game, allowing the Serb to have a shot on goal.
So, what did these Newcastle United fans have to say about Sean Longstaff’s performance versus Fulham?
Longstaff did manage to pull off a ‘great tackle’ later on in the first half, per ChronicleLive, but that wasn’t enough to prevent plenty of Toon supporters from flocking to Twitter to slate the Englishman, as they aimed criticism at him for his performance in this game.
Commentators already said Longstaff is vital to us.. He’s done nothing since he’s been in so I’m not sure what they’ve been watching

Longstaff looking off the pace already, amazed he gets a game on current form.

All in all, it certainly seems as though Longstaff has failed to impress a lot of Newcastle fans with his performance in this evening’s fixture.
