Some Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a tweet that was recently posted by @ChronicleNUFC which shared a link to ChronicleLive’s Toon-focused live blog (2nd December, 14:27) in which journalist Lee Ryder’s recent comments on the North East club potentially making a move for Bournemouth attacker Josh King in January were relayed.
As per ChronicleLive, Ryder explained that Newcastle “had a good look” at King in the summer transfer window on a recent edition of the Everything is Black and White podcast.
The journalist then went on to state that he thinks “it would be a no brainer” for the North East club to bring him in when the transfer window re-opens in January if the £11.7m-rated man becomes “available for a knockdown fee” with his current Bournemouth deal set to expire in the summer.
After Ryder’s comments on this potential deal were shared by @ChronicleNUFC on Twitter, their post caught plenty of Toon supporters’ attention.
So, what did these Newcastle United fans have to say about Ryder’s comments on the possibility of their club moving for Josh King?

Wanted NUFC to sign him in the summer as i thought we had more chance getting him than Wilson. Would be something ending up with both ??

Some Toon supporters shared that they would like to see current Toon attacker Dwight Gayle move the other way as part of a potential deal to bring King to the North East club.
I’d try a swap deal with Gayle both out of contract in the summer

I always thought he’d be a good fit for us. His chemistry with Wilson would be valuable. We would need to offload Gayle, though. Maybe a swap?

he would be just what we need. a pacey striker to partner with wilson 4-4-2 formation , not ultra defensive lol. Darlow, lascells, fernandez, lewis, yedlin, fraser, hayden, longstaff, ASM, king, wilson.
