A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Toon news Twitter account @ChronicleNUFC that included a link to an article from ChronicleLive which shed light on the Toon’s January transfer plans.
In this report, it’s revealed that Newcastle boss Steve Bruce recently told reporters on Zoom: “Unless there is something there jumping out at us that we think can really drastically improve us, which you very rarely get in January, then I’ll be like most other managers and most other clubs where I think it’ll be very quiet. Arguably, it could be the quietest it’s ever been because of the problems that everybody’s having.”
So, what did these Newcastle United fans have to say about Bruce’s comments on January transfers?

Some Newcastle United supporters criticised their club’s apparent stance on January transfers in response to this post from @ChronicleNUFC, with one particular Toon fan indicating that they believe their club will sign nobody and one Newcastle fan stating that Bruce’s comments reminded them of ex-Toon boss Alan Pardew.

Meanwhile, more fans of the North East club shared that they think a lot of players would improve the quality of their squad.
Willems in on loan would be good. There’s players out there not getting game time who would improve us.

Do you think Newcastle will sign anyone in January?
Hard to find a midfielder able to complete more than 20 passes a game – maybe scout the Leeds keeper as he managed it

The line that gets peddled out a week before every transfer window. There a literally 1000’s of players that would drastically improve us

All in all, it’s clear that Bruce’s comments haven’t gone down well with many fans of the north-east club.
