Many Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to respond to the latest post from the club.

This comes after the official Newcastle Twitter account shared a post on their page that contained a video of Toon defender Ciaran Clark talking with the club’s media looking ahead to their Boxing Day Premier League fixture against Manchester City.

Easy one to get us underway, in what month during 2019 was Steve Bruce appointed Newcastle manager?

During the video, Clark described the clash against Pep Guardiola’s side as “massive” game and that they need to try and prepare themselves and “mentally focus” for it.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Newcastle fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Clark’s latest comments.

So, what did these Toon fans have to say about this post?

“I believe the Brentford game was a wakeup call to the players! Time for them to start actually playing too there own ability.”

“This lad should be given the armband when Lascelles isn’t available”

@geordiealmiron

It might just be me but I don’t like these interviews at all. Clark looks uneasy and disinterested whilst mumbling nonsense to try and pretend to fans all is well. If the players are not bothered in their body language why should we be? #nufc

“Signed Lewis shirt pls admin”
