A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from NUFC 360, which has relayed comments made by Steve Bruce after the Toon were beaten 1-0 by Brentford in the Carabao Cup.

Easy one to get us underway, in what month during 2019 was Steve Bruce appointed Newcastle manager?

Newcastle fell behind to Josh Dasilva’s strike and never really looked like getting back into the game, and after the match, Bruce claimed that ‘you need to have a bit of a break’ and that it just didn’t happen for them.

This led NUFC 360 to accuse Bruce of relying on luck to win games, and many fans were fuming with these comments.

What did these Newcastle fans think of Bruce’s comments?

“We’ve said this since he took over his match interview pre and post at every other club are the same as ours it’s absolutely scandalous how bad he is @AlexBruce84

Apart from the West Ham and Burnley games, literally every point we’ve got this season has been
through pot luck. It’s mad that such a blatant chancer keeps getting jobs…”
He doesn’t even sound like he believes himself! Got to go”

They did have a few chances, which Bruce could be referring to, but they didn’t play well enough.

Are you annoyed by these comments?

Yes, why is he saying that

No, he is right

No, he is right

This post continued to draw in angry Newcastle fans.

He’s so far out of his depth it’s unbelievable.”

@Garywakefield9

I’ve said for a long time that he doesn’t understand tactics beyond choosing a formation. He’s a chancer.”

@AlbertLuque9

“We’ve been horrible to watch again this season, no enjoyment in sitting down and watching them The league position doesn’t reflect the way we are playing We’ve been lucky to get where we are. I will never not support them but I’m really starting to give up slowly. #Embarrassment”

@captainreech

You would think that with Manchester City, Liverpool, and Leicester City to play, the Toon will need more than just a bit of luck to get anything from those games, especially if they play as they did against Brentford.

However, these comments from Bruce are baffling, and we are not surprised that these Newcastle fans are annoyed with him for them.
