Starting with an easy one, what number does Wilson wear for Newcastle?

One of the topics that he spent a lot of time on was the proposed takeover of the Toon by PCP Capital Partners, PIF and the Reuben brothers that was withdrawn in July.

The Chronicle reporter discussed the role of Newcastle Consortium Supporters Limited (NCSL), which has launched a legal challenge against the Premier League over the failed takeover. Douglas believes that this has kept the takeover in people’s minds, while he also revealed that things were going on in relation to the takeover.

He said: “It does feel like things are happening behind the scenes.

“You have to look at the NCSL, and they have kept it alive.

“Not everybody agrees with how they have done things, but I think they are starting to see a bit of unity in the fanbase.”

Do you think NCSL have done the right thing?

TIF Thoughts on NCSL and the takeover…

NCSL announced that they were launching a legal challenge near the end of October, and since then, they have provided constant updates on what is happening and what they intend to do.

This can be seen by scrolling through their Twitter timeline, and it is clear that they like to inform Toon fans about what is going on, and they have regularly called for the Toon’s fanbase to unite behind this attempt to resolve the situation.

Meanwhile, Newcastle and Mike Ashley are involved in their own legal battle with the Premier League over the proposed takeover, so the league are fighting this on two fronts, and it will be interesting to see what the outcome is.

However, either way, we feel that the members of the NCSL deserve great credit for the challenge they have launched, and we hope that they get the outcome they want.
