A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from The Chronicle that contains a link to an article on their website claiming that the Toon have been heavily backed to buy Dele Alli and Josh King.
Alli is currently out of favour at Tottenham Hotspur and has only made eight appearances this season in all competitions – with only two coming in the Premier League.
King, meanwhile, has less than a year left on his contract at Bournemouth and has been linked with a move to Tyneside in the past.
However, it is clear that many Newcastle fans do not believe that their club will be signing either of these players.
So, what do these Newcastle fans think of this claim on Dele Alli and Josh King?
Embarrassing journalism

This response seems bizarre considering that in 230 appearances for Spurs, the 24-year-old has scored 64 goals and provided 56 assists, and though he has struggled this season, his numbers show he still clearly has immense talent.
However, given that the Toon had a budget of around £35m and spent just under that in the summer, we don’t think it is likely that a player valued at £46.8m will be making a permanent move to Tyneside when most of their budget has probably gone.
On the other hand, King could be more likely because he can start discussing pre-contract agreements with other clubs in January, meaning that if Bournemouth want to get any money for him they might have to accept a cut-price deal.
So, we will be intrigued to see if the Toon do make a move for the 28-year-old.
