Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to respond to the latest post from Toon midfielder Isaac Hayden.
This comes after the midfielder shared a post on his official Twitter page after seeing his side lose 5-2 to Leeds United in midweek, saying that he is “not quite sure what the rules are anymore”.
He then added that it was an “unacceptable” ending to the game at Elland Road where Newcastle conceded two goals in the latter stage of the match and that “bumps along the way are to be expected” and that the team needs to “react quickly” for their weekend clash against Fulham at St. James’ Park.
This post from Hayden then gathered a lot of replies from Newcastle fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this post from the Englishman.
So, what did these Newcastle fans make of Hayden’s post?
Best player on the pitch as usual head up Isaac

Newcastle signed the 25-year-old back in the 2016 summer transfer window from Arsenal’s U23 squad for a fee of £2.61 million.
Credit to you for putting your head above the trench tonight.
That was awful though.
We would never look that awful and shambolic under Rafa. Bruce, no matter what anyone says, is obviously way out of his depth.

Since then, Hayden has made 140 appearances for the Toon in which he has managed to score six goals and provide 10 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).
You’re the only midfielder I wouldn’t sell so fair play

Isaac you were one of the few that played “ok” the whole team lacked energy, ball retention was very poor, we need to close our men down quicker than what we did, the last 3 goals was like watching school kids play, very embarrassing, we need a professional performance on Saturday

Well done for not shying away after a defeat like many would… and well done for enduring #bruceball. I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but it’s awful football to watch. Maybe he should look at what the guy in the other dugout was doing tonight.

In regards to their recent defeat at Leeds, WhoScored gave Newcastle a poor team rating of 6.48/10, which shows that Hayden was right to call the performance unacceptable in his tweet.
Just wish the players would confront the coach stating that these negative tactics and sitting back makes results like tonight inevitable. Just show a bit of ambition going forward is all we ask

Was Newcastle's performance against Leeds their worst of the season?
Yes
No
Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear that these Newcastle fans have a lot of respect for Hayden but are definitely not happy with the way things are going for their club on the pitch.
Given how Newcastle have racked up a completely mixed bag of results so far this season with five wins, two draws and five defeats in the league, it’s no surprise these Toon fans aren’t happy with the way things have gone this season.
