A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to slate the performance of Joelinton after the Toon’s 5-2 defeat to Leeds United at Elland Road.
The Brazilian started the game and played 74 minutes, but it is clear that these Toon fans were not happy with his display.
What did these Newcastle fans think of Joelinton’s performance?
Worst game in an #NUFC shirt for Sean Longstaff & Joelinton. Absolutely disgraceful, could’ve won the game as well.. Leeds were garbage. Mind boggling

Embarrassing again Newcastle! I sit and watch every game praying for longstaff and joelinton to get injured because it’s the only thing that’ll keep them out the squad! It shouldn’t be like that but they’re both absolutely useless

Embarrassing I can’t remember a time when we looked like a decent side. The tactics and football we play is a disgrace. We’re lucky to get 30% possession in a game. Longstaff joelinton Lewis were all a joke and don’t deserve to wear the kit.

What a load of rubbish, i turned it off after the third goal. Joelinton didnt move all game and midfield was a shambles, championship at best. We can only hope the current bottom three dont find form all season

Were you happy with Joelinton's display?
No, he was awful
Yes, he was decent
The 24-year-old was signed for nearly £40m last season but only scored two league goals.
This year he has played in a variety of positions and has scored three goals and provided three assists in all competitions, so he seems to be getting better this season, but maybe this game was not his match as these Newcastle fans are fuming with his display, which received a 6/10 rating (Chronicle).
Longstaff has been awful. Lewis can’t defend. Joelinton awful. Embassing performance.

Longstaff and Joelinton have been utterly dreadful since last year… not sure why either are even close to the first team… #NUFC

Wilson does a lot more than score goals with hold-up play etc.
Fraser just came back from injury so won’t be quite fit.
Almiron , Gayle subs not much time to influence the game.
SL atrocious.
Joelinton poor.
Lewis learning only young.
Murphy better when Krafth came on.

Joelinton, before this game, had scored once and provided two assists in his last two league games, but he had no such luck in this match, and he could not help the Toon as they lost to the Whites in a pretty exciting game in which the Whites dominated possession and had more shots.
It will be interesting to see if Joelinton plays the Toon’s next match against Fulham at St James’ Park.
