A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from NUFC 360, which includes a link to a story in The Chronicle about Jetro Willems.
The report claims that the Dutchman has rejected a new contract offer from Eintracht Frankfurt, which means that he can sign a pre-contract agreement with any club in Europe.
According to the player’s agent, he would be keen on returning to Tyneside.
It is also claimed that the 26-year-old was popular in the dressing room, and judging by the reaction from these Toon fans, he would be a popular addition to the squad.
What did these Newcastle United fans think of this news regarding Jetro Willems?
100%. I’d absolutely love it if we get it done. pic.twitter.com/zm4bF2NXwQ

He was terrific at NUFC. A loan signing that was a success. Would be delighted to see him back #NUFC

Bring him home, he has great chemistry with ASM down the wing, and he can actually defend as well as attack.

Do you want to see Willems back on Tyneside?
Yes, he was great last season
No, he has had his time
Willems was on loan with Newcastle last season until he suffered an ACL injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season, as the club decided against making a permanent move.
However, Willems has always maintained that he is keen to join the Toon, and this news could mean Newcastle are poised to sign him on a free transfer.
Certainly, many Newcastle fans would like to see him back.
Get it done!! pic.twitter.com/bMxmqkMmfd

The former Dutch international made 20 appearances in all competitions and scored two goals and provided three assists for the St. James’ Park club, and he could provide competition for Jamal Lewis, who has started nine of the Toon’s 10 Premier League games.
It is clear that many Newcastle fans would like him back, so we will have to see what happens.
