A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Jetro Willems amid rumours that the Toon could look to sign him in January.
The 26-year-old was meant to spend the full 2019/20 season on loan with the Toon but an ACL injury suffered in January ruled him out of the second half of the season, and Newcastle did not take up their option to sign him.
However, while he was on Tyneside, Willems fell in love with Newcastle and has consistently stated that he would like to go back.
Last week, he turned down a new deal from his current club Eintracht Frankfurt, and his agent suggested that he could move back to Newcastle.
His post got many Toon fans asking for Willems to return.
What did these Newcastle fans think of Jetro Willems’ post?
Would love to see you back at the club. We desperately need an experienced FB. Could teach Lewis a thing or two.

Yes, would love him back
No, he has had his time
While he was with Newcastle, Willems made 20 appearances in all competitions, scored two goals and provided three assists, so you could say he positively impacted the team, and it is clear that these Toon fans want him back.

So, many Newcastle fans would like to see Willems back, and judging from his agent’s comments, he would like to go back as well.
However, his tweet’s meaning is still unknown, so it will be interesting to see what Willems was hinting at with this post.
