Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest announcement from the Yorkshire club.
This comes after the official Leeds Twitter account shared a post including an update to their supporters who have purchased a 2020/21 membership package.
This post contained a link to a post on their website that revealed that all 2020/21 memberships will remain active for the time being and that they are ‘still hopeful that members will have the opportunity to apply for tickets for some matches this season’.
They also claim that the club will compensate their supporters for the lack of available matches this season, with members offered retail vouchers.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest update from the club.
So, what did these Leeds fans make of this update?
This has to be a wind up

Shocking this, quick update to people who paid £50 that they’ll get some benefits and get a chance to buy tickets to games, but it’s radio silence for us who’ve actually paid £500 for our season tickets #lufc https://t.co/ZD85ZDSVMR

No
Bit of a joke that, shouldn’t be at the expense of season ticket holders!

Absolutely disgraceful treatment of season ticket holders

Now that the official Leeds website has revealed this news and shared it onto their Twitter page, this paved the way for lots of Leeds fans to have their say on the issue.
So season ticket holders miss out on games so members can go?? Shambolic.

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that this group of Leeds fans are not pleased with this announcement from the club.
In our view, it’s good that the club are thinking about their fans that are signed up to memberships at the club, but it would make sense for their season ticket holders to be the first to get any compensation and be the first in line when it comes to potentially buying tickets for future games.
However, with Leeds in the third tier of regional restrictions at this moment in time, it appears that there’s still some waiting to do until the club gets the green light to allow fans back into Elland Road.
