Plenty of Leeds United fans have torn into TalkSPORT 2 pundit Rory Jennings after some inflammatory comments he made about Marcelo Bielsa.
Leeds United have certainly been a source for debate since their promotion to the Premier League, with their so-called ‘entertaining style’ of play earning them many plaudits.
Although that’s not to say that they haven’t also got their detractors either, and their recent defeat at Old Trafford has sparked a conversation about whether or not it will survive in the top flight on a long-term basis.
A conversation that was picked up by TalkSPORT 2 pundit Rory Jennings, who found it ‘baffling’ that Bielsa could receive such high praise despite being turned over 6-2.
Needless to say, Leeds United fans weren’t having any of that and they let him know about it, arguing that football is more than just about winning and losing:
Man with YouTube channel is baffled by the concept of entertaining an audience. https://t.co/CNXQrGbpuV

The point is, Bielsa has one aim and that is to entertain those that pay his wages. He wants to win but he wants to do it playing football that gets hearts racing and creates lasting memories. If you can’t admire that then you should stick to watching EastEnders.

Oh don’t be baffled. Just give yourself the chance to learn about football and then Bielsa. Then you’ll get it just like we all do. Happy Christmas.??

Man Utd lost 7-2 to Spurs and no one batters an eyelid. Palace lose 7-0. Liverpool too. Another one who is too anti Leeds to appreciate Bielsa. World class and rightly recognized by people that matter. Leeds easily could of scored 6 but don’t let that ruin the narrative.

Love or hate Leeds and that includes Bielsa and his tactics, we are the ultimate box office this season. Still about 25 games to go and we only need to win six more and we will survive. Loving the journey #MOT

Can Leeds keep this style of play up all season?
Yes
No
Just as an aside, it seems rather funny how life has gone completely the other way for Leeds United. Years ago they were controversial because of their physical tactics, giving them the title of ‘Dirty Leeds’ – and now it seems as if they’re controversial for wanting to play football a little too well. They just can’t win, can they?
