Speaking recently on a video posted by Leeds United Live on Facebook, Beren Cross revealed the three players at Leeds that he believes ‘need to go’ in the January transfer window.

After a summer transfer window in which Leeds landed Rodrigo, Diego Llorente, Raphinha, Robin Koch and Joe Gelhardt on permanent deals, made the previous loan deals of Illan Meslier and Helder Costa permanent moves and re-signed Jack Harrison onto a new loan deal, Marcelo Bielsa was left with a 29 man first-team squad at his disposal for the club’s 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

Starting with an easy one what shirt number does Bamford wear for Leeds United?

However, eight of these first-team players have not been included in a Premier League matchday squad so far this season, and, speaking on a video recently posted by Leeds United Live on Facebook, Cross revealed the three names in the side that he felt should leave the club in the January transfer window.

He said: “Outgoings, I mean, [Conor] Shaughnessy, [Jay-Roy] Grot and [Ouasim] Bouy are the three outcasts who simply need to go and play football elsewhere if they’ve got any interest in keeping their careers going. So, that may well be a chance for them to go out, either on loan or permanently, their deals expire in the summer.”

TIF Thoughts on Beren Cross’ comments regarding the Leeds United outcasts…

From Cross’ comments, it is abundantly clear that the journalist feels that Shaughnessy, Grot and Bouy need to leave the club in January to further their footballing careers rather than simply stagnating at Leeds.

And, considering that Shaughnessy and Grot have not featured in a match for Leeds since the 2017/18 season, while Bouy has, quite remarkably, never made an appearance for the club since joining from Juventus back in 2017, we have to agree with Cross in that it would seem all three players’ time is up at Leeds.
