Lots of Leeds United fans have been reacting to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account which shared a post-match interview with £8.1m-rated on-loan from Manchester City Whites winger Jack Harrison, following Leeds’ 5-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday evening.
It may be fair to say that the 24-year-old played a starring role in his side’s convincing victory, as he scored the third goal of the game and also made the joint-highest number of crosses (six), the highest number of interceptions (two) and the joint-second-highest number of key passes (two) by the end of the contest, per WhoScored.
This win came after Leeds United and Marcelo Bielsa have been receiving some criticism for their style of play, with Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson notably declaring that he’d be “fuming” about the Whites’ style of play if he were a Leeds fan following their 6-2 loss to Manchester United earlier this month.
In his post-match interview, Harrison aimed fire at those who have been criticising the Yorkshire club’s style of play, with the winger stating: “We don’t have to change for anyone”.
So, how have these Leeds United fans reacted to Jack Harrison’s comments?
A lot of the Leeds fans who have been replying to this tweet from their club have reacted positively to Harrison’s comments.
“Haha ace little dig”
“Jack here represents all that we are about on every level.”
“Not even Paul Merson?”
“Top lad. They’ve all got so much respect for Bielsa, desperate to do well for him.”
“He’s unplayable when he’s properly on it like tonight. Hope he can keep at that level”
Do Leeds need to change their style of play?
NO
YES
“Are you listening @PaulMerse We don’t change for anyone!! #inbieslawetrust”
“Jack was top class tonight. His interview goes to show what a top guy and team player he is. Will be a snip at £10m when we finally sign him.”
All in all, it’s clear that many Leeds fans feel that their club’s style of play doesn’t need to change.
