Many Leeds United fans have been buzzing in response to a post from the club’s official Twitter account which shares the news that 19-year-old Whites academy product Niall Huggins has agreed to sign a new deal with the Yorkshire club that sees him commit his future to Leeds until the summer of 2023.
This tweet includes a link to a post on Leeds United’s official website which explains that Huggins’ contract had been set to expire at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
However, it would appear as though the teenager, who has made one appearance for Wales’ U21s, has impressed in his seven appearances for the Whites’ U23s this term, most of which have come at left-back, as the club has moved to tie him down to a longer-term deal.
So, what did these Leeds United fans make of Huggins’ contract extension?
