Leeds United fans have flocked to Twitter to share their criticism for Whites defender Liam Cooper and his performance during the Yorkshire club’s midweek Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
With Marcelo Bielsa’s side having lost their previous two league games heading into this game against the Tyneside club, a lot was riding on this midweek showdown against their fellow bottom-half side.
During the game, Cooper’s performance caught the attention of a lot of Leeds fans but for all the wrong reasons.
So, what did these Leeds fans have to say about Cooper and his latest performance?
I love Cooper but I really think he needs to be dropped once Koch or llorente come back

The 29-year-old Leeds captain signed to the club back in August 2014 from Chesterfield for £675k
Cooper has a vague madness about him tonight. Don’t do a madness, Coops. Please. #LUFC

Need another CB in January if Koch & Llorente out even longer term. Cooper / Ayling pairing isnt Premier League quality. #lufc

Looking at these tweets from this group of Leeds fans, it’s clear to see that they have not been impressed by what they have seen from Cooper in his latest appearance for the club.
Given how Leeds Live gave Cooper an impressive match rating of 8/10 for his performance in their previous league game against West Ham United saying that he “did not put a foot wrong” for the majority of the match, hopefully, this game against Newcastle will just be a one-off bad performance for the team this season.
