Leeds United fans on Twitter have been sharing their responses to the latest comments made by West Bromwich Albion manager Sam Allardyce.

This comes after Leeds journalist Phil Hay shared a post on his official Twitter page relaying comments made by Allardyce after seeing his team lose 5-0 at home against Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

Allardyce said that Leeds didn’t just outplay his Baggies side, they out-ran them too.

This post from Hay then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on what Allardyce had to say on the manner in which the Yorkshire club beat West Brom.

So, what did these Leeds fans say in response to Phil Hay’s post on Sam Allardyce’s comments?

“Well duh”

@andywi75on

“Oh we know”

@LordBamford_

“He sounds shocked”

@LUFC_Brandon_

“They’d outrun Sir Mo and his training partners.”

@davidkerr2821

“Sounds surprised. We do that to everyone”

@cmarshleeds

“Fitness a massive factor tonight Phil. Bielsa’s conditioning methods worth 20 points this season.”

@philfame1

Looking at the replies to this post from Hay, it appears that these Leeds fans aren’t surprised by Allardyce’s observation that Bielsa’s side did a lot of running in their win over the Baggies.

Was Leeds' win over West Brom their best performance of the season so far?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Back in November, Sky Sports revealed that Leeds were second behind Sheffield United in terms of average distance covered per game, which probably shouldn’t surprise Allardyce or these Leeds fans based on their performance against West Brom.

In our view, the fact that Leeds managed to score five goals against West Brom and keep a clean sheet in the process, it seems that their energy and constant running during the match at the Hawthorns paid off.
