Starting with an easy one what shirt number does Bamford wear for Leeds United?

When Bielsa was asked if Costa had an injury which led to him being left out of the squad for the Newcastle match, Bielsa revealed that Costa wasn’t injured.

After Pope relayed this news onto his Twitter page, this then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Costa and him being left out of the squad.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say on the matter?

Leeds signed the 26-year-old on a loan deal from fellow Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers back in July 2019. A year later, Leeds signed Costa on a permanent deal for a fee of £15.93 million.

Overall, the winger has made 56 appearances for the Yorkshire club in which he has managed to score seven goals and provide 10 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Now that Pope has relayed this news from Bielsa on Costa onto his Twitter page, this led to lots of Leeds fans replying with their thoughts on the winger.

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that this group of Leeds fans are not particularly surprised that Costa was dropped from the squad based on his recent performances in a Leeds shirt.

Given how the winger has played only 91 minutes of action and picked up some disappointing match ratings for his performance in his three previous appearances for Leeds, it’s not really surprising that these fans feel the way they do.
