Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest update from Whites journalist Phil Hay.

This comes after the journalist shared a post on his official Twitter page relaying news originally shared by Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa during his latest post-match interview after seeing his side beat Burnley 1-0 at Elland Road.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

In his post, Hay relayed that Leeds defender Diego Llorente suffered an injury setback on Wednesday and will now be unavailable for the Yorkshire club’s next Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion.

This post from Hay then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest update on Llorente.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say on Phil Hay’s tweet on Diego Llorente?

“Did we keep the receipt? This purchase is clearly faulty.”

“What a waste of money”

@wmo1190

“Were jinxed with centre backs”

“Llorente sounds like another Forshaw to be honest”

@Carl_Uk_

“What is it with us and buying injury prone players? His record wasn’t great, last season. Really poor to be stung by this, yet again.”

@markydh

“Llorente is quickly turning into the most pointless signing of the decade”

@bielsaball

Leeds signed the defender back in September from Real Sociedad for a fee of £18 million.

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that these Leeds fans are not happy that the 27-year-old has suffered this injury setback.

Taking into account that the defender has only played one game for Leeds in the Premier League so far this season and that they currently have both Robin Koch and Liam Cooper out with injuries, it’s understandable why these Leeds fans are a bit annoyed by Llorente’s setback.
