Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest social media post from Whites journalist Phil Hay.
This comes after Hay shared a post on his official Twitter page quote-tweeting a post originally shared by the official Rangers Twitter account that contained footage of former Leeds striker Kemar Roofe scoring the first goal of the Scottish club’s 4-0 win over Ross County.
Hay said that Roofe’s move to Rangers from Anderlecht back in August was “always going to be a top signing” in the SPFL.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Hay’s post.
So, what did these Leeds fans have to say on the matter?
He had the same talent playing for Leeds but his injuries did him in for us.

Overall, Roofe made 112 appearances for the Yorkshire club in which he managed to score 33 goals and provide 14 assists before leaving for Anderlecht in 2019 for £5.4 million.
Great to see him doing well, keeping fit and playing for a great club. ??

I think he’d be decent at Prem Level; maybe not as many goals but he is a very good footballer who would do well with the added space you get

Now that Hay has shared this footage of Roofe’s goal onto his Twitter page, this allowed lots of Leeds fans to have their say on the player.

Looking at the replies to Hay’s post on Roofe, it appears that most of these Leeds fans are happy to see Roofe doing well at his new club, which is nice of them to say.
Taking into account that Roofe has managed to score eight goals in 14 appearances for Rangers across all competitions so far this season, this shows that he is having a fantastic campaign with Steven Gerrard’s team so far.
