Leeds United fans on Facebook have been responding to the latest news surrounding the Yorkshire club’s previously reported transfer target Rodrigo De Paul.
This comes after Leeds United Live shared a post on their official Facebook page that contained an article from Leeds Live revealing that the club are now apparently the favourites to sign the midfield man.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were not shy in airing their thoughts on a potential transfer for De Paul.
There were some Leeds fans responding to the post who were not as confident about the club signing De Paul as others.
De Paul signed to Serie A side Udinese back in 2016 from Valencia for a fee of £2.7 million. Since then, the 26-year-old, who is currently valued at £27 million, has made 161 appearances for the club and has managed to score 28 goals and provide 28 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).
Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that most of these Leeds fans would be over the moon if their club signed De Paul in the upcoming January transfer window.
Given how De Paul has earned himself an impressive season rating of 7.59/10 for his performances in Serie A with Udinese so far this season, making him their highest-rated player, it’s no surprise that these Leeds fans would like to see him at Elland Road in January.
